I was in an elevator going out for lunch when a superior looking individual hops in; unfortunately, his staff was on the ride and he began asking project related questions. The staff looked intimidated and sounded nervous as he began to explain to his boss while everyone else could hear his sliding timeline, mistakes, etc.
I have seen this happen a lot of times over the years from different companies, buildings and settings. Don’t make your staff uneasy while outside of work, and stop being a broken mechanical robot asking for status reports everywhere.
