Respect Personal Leave of Employees

I saw a clip of Mission Impossible II last night and Hunt said his trip wouldn’t be a holiday if he told his superiors where he was headed. That is so true. I have worked with managers from another company who would require me to explain what I was going to do and where I was going every time I filed for personal leave.

Come on man, they should have higher IQs than that. Respect the right of a person to go on a personal leave and stop asking details about it. If you can’t allow the person because of some critical task then ask him the urgency of the leave because of pending deliverables; other than that, show some respect. If you are going to allow the person to go on leave but would need to contact him on urgent matters then tell him if it that would be alright.
Everyone deserves privacy…
